I've never made rice pudding so gave this a try. The flavor of the end product was subtle and nice (next time I might double the anise for personal pref).The 2 c. of half and half may have been a touch much and I am wondering about the thickness of the final product. The half and half didn't seem to thicken up (assuming it was supposed to) but it may been because my simmer was not strong. It's simple enough to give it a another try tho :)
Did you use the Arborio (or carnoli) rice? They should release enough starch to thicken. Won’t be super thick though.
