This bold, flavorful stir-fry is a spin on Filipino beef salpicao, which counts Worcestershire sauce as a main ingredient. We've added a red bell pepper and an entire bunch of scallions for color and textural contrast, as well as sugar to balance the savoriness. The sauce is relatively thin—perfect for drizzling over steamed white rice.

Tip

Don't worry that the beef isn't fully cooked after searing; it will finish cooking when it's returned to the skillet and warmed through in the sauce.

So Good!
I made this in the milkstreet wok, omitted the sugar, added a little fish sauce and it came out so crazy good! Also super easy to make. Also I used stew beef - was too lazy to buy sirloin tips.

Great as-is, or remix a little
Simple enough that you can modify if you don't have all ingredients on-hand. I prefer mine a bit saucy, so I added a bit more water, sugar, and soy sauce and reduced it. I didn't have any bell peppers, so I threw in some white onion. Turned out great! :)

I made this for dinner tonight and served it over the rice noodles. It was pretty good. Its easy to make. I chopped everything before starting to cook and also prep the sauce. I have added carrots and bok choy as well. For some reason, my sauce was not thickening or "leaving a trail" but it still turned out good. Maybe adding additional veggies made the sauce have additional water so it did not caramelized. I have added 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar.
