This is the simple and classic cheese pizza. We use a quick, no-cook tomato sauce and a mixture of three cheeses for full flavor. Straining the sauce after pureeing removes excess moisture that otherwise would prevent the crust from crisping.

Pretty good
I like Ina Garten's pizza dough recipe as its quick to make. What I love about this recipe is the sauce. You can even make it with fresh tomatoes.

The sauce
The sauce for this pizza is so quick and easy to make. It tastes like summer, even with tomatoes from a can.

This was really good pizza. I made the MS dough recipe which was fairly easy and came out nicely. I think the added flavor of the Fontina is what I really liked.

I just made the 3 cheese pizza using the Milk Street dough. It's the best pizza I've ever made - I'm so excited! I wound up bringing the dough to 70 degrees by putting it in the oven drawer while the oven was preheating to 550. I used two out of 4 rounds tonight - can I freeze the other 2 to use later? If so, what would the process be?
