Comments are no longer available. For example Sri Lankan Spinach and Coconut Dal with Tomato Tarka has 4 stars followed by a 9, to indicate the number of comments. I tried this using safari on an iOS device and Microsoft using Edge. How does one access comments?
Answered by Elizabeth Mindreau
Hi Brenda - Thank you for alerting us to this matter. Our Website Team is looking into it and will hopefully have the comments fully functional soon. We appreciate your patience.

As a long time subscriber, I enjoy reading and learning from the recipe comments that others post, however, I can no longer access them. Please let me know how I can see them again.
Answered by Elizabeth Mindreau
Recipe reviews should still be visible. Not all recipes have customer reviews so check around on the website for recipes that show black stars with their preview image, these are the ones that have reviews. Just click on the recipe and scroll down until you see the review.

I've been a member for years. One thing I enjoy and learn from is reading other cooks comment and MS responses. I just noticed this afternoon that feature is missing; not only to make a comment but to read other postings. Is there a reason or just with restructuring to return the feature? While it won't necessary cause me to stop my membership, it certainly will make me reconsider.
Answered by Elizabeth Mindreau
Hi Katherine - The Forum was down for a bit while we built our new website. It's up and running now and if you scroll down in any Forum post, you can leave your own comments. Please check back if you still cannot access this feature.

Hi - When I watch Milkstreet on the PBS app (I have watched seasons 4-6) it claims all recipes are available for free on the website. When I went to the milkstreet TV website, It says I have to be a member to access the recipes. Membership is not free. What gives? Thanks Much. Phil
Hi Phil - I believe we used to advertise free recipes in Season 3. Recipes from our TV show, books, magazines and social media have been available by subscription on our website for some time now. We apologize for any confusion.

What is your thoughts about epicurean cutting boards? My daughter just gave me one to replace a plastic one I use for poultry.
Answered by Elizabeth Mindreau
Hi Patty –
We are not familiar with Epicurean cutting boards. Since you brought it to our attention, I took a look at their website, and they seem like a really cool company with an interesting backstory. Thank you for bringing them to our attention. Please check back and let us know how you like yours.

Why is it always kosher salt, why not just regular salt which is much cheaper from the store (4x less). I understand that kosher salt has a nice hand feel when seasoning meat before cooking, but why for everything?
cheers.
Answered by Elizabeth Mindreau
Hello Ewan –
I'm attaching an article from our March/April 2021 magazine explaining why we use kosher salt for savory cooking. It also shows a graphic with a comparison of different salts.
